PolRain

Dear Friends;

The purpose of this letter is to, once again, appeal to you for your financial support of our fundraising effort. Polish Children’s Rainbow Fund is having yet another fundraising event, 14th Annual Holiday Fair, on November 24, 2019, on the grounds of “Szarotka” Retirement Home in Los Angeles.

The monetary prizes are irresistible: $400 funded by POLAM, $200 by Polish Children’s Rainbow Fund, as well as gift certificates donated by Solidarity Restaurant ($150), and BAZAR European Market (two for $25 each). Please return the enclosed ticket stubs with your name and telephone number and your donation, payable to: Polish Children’s Rainbow Fund, to Anna Olekszyk,
676 Taylor Drive, Monterey Park, CA 91755, by November 16, 2019. Suggested donation for the book of six tickets is $10.

We are a non-profit organization established in 1998 exclusively for charitable purposes, including making of distributions to orphanages and foster care facilities for children and youth in the Republic of Poland, as well as to independent foster youth under 25 years of age when pursuing any form of education. We are planning to finance the items we pick from the prioritized list of needs provided by the facilities, in order to control how your money is used.

Effective June 30, 2019, we have raised and transferred funds in the amount of $107,800 to the following institutions: Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary’s Family, Our Home, Tanowo, Walbrzych, Pielgrzymowice, and Pope Pius XI Orphanages, Institution for Children with Special Needs in Bialka Tatrzanska, Silesian School in Suwalki, Foundation “Mirror of Dreams” in Warsaw, Growth Center in Katowice, as well as families with children in financial and health crisis.

Our goal this year is to exceed the $120,000 fund-raising mark; we can only get there with your help, so please donate as much as you can afford!

As a charitable association, our organization is exempted from a federal income tax under Section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) and state franchise or income tax under the Section 23701d of the Revenue and Taxation Code. All contributions are tax deductible as provided in Section 170 of the IRC and Section 23701 of the Revenue and Taxation Code.

Your generosity and your on-going support of our cause are greatly appreciated.

Very sincerely;

Anna Olekszyk, President
